六旬男子企圖自殺 被員警成功勸下

花蓮一名六十多歲男子遭到詐騙，心灰意冷，獨自一人鎖在房內揚言要上吊自殺，幸好及時被家人發現報警處理，員警順利勸說讓六旬男子放棄自殺。

警方表示，由於男子鎖在房內不肯出來，新城派出所員警陪著老先生說話，才知道老先生遭人欺騙，導致家境貧困，又因為疾病纏身，在心灰意冷之下，才一時想不開。

員警告訴他，如果他輕生後，妻子與子女將面臨更深的困境，讓老先生打消自殺念頭。
