【簡志偉／嘉義報導】日前參加社會福利部全國社區評鑑榮獲優等的上林社區，今天舉行環保淨溪活動，並成立上林水環境及水源巡守隊，負責三疊溪及周邊支流沿岸環境整潔，社區居民共有100多人參加。

鎮長黃貞瑜說，淨溪範圍從上林里麻園寮橋到頂員林埤沿岸，針對散佈於河川附近及遊憩區域垃圾、河川漂流物及釣魚廢棄物等髒亂處進行清除，希望經由志工的力量，將大林河川淨化成一個清潔無垃圾環境，也提供民眾假日休閒好去處。
