市售蜂蜜價差大，判斷真偽有技巧，台北市衛生局表示，純正蜂蜜加水搖晃會產生泡沫，久久不易消失，反之，假蜜加水搖晃泡沫少、消失得快，香味也很快就散逸。

北市衛生局表示，純蜂蜜與合成蜜可從色、香、味判別。目測方面，可將手指放在蜂蜜產品後，真蜜較不透明，看不清五指。合成蜜則相當透明，五指放到瓶後看的一清二楚。
