菲中部地震 居民驚慌踩踏 至少32人罹難

菲律賓中部今天(15日)上午發生芮氏規模7.1強烈地震，罹難人數已經增加至32人；這起強震震倒了房屋和歷史悠久的教堂，並且導致驚慌的居民相互推擠踩踏。

民防部門發言人巴利多(Reynaldo Balido)說，宿霧省(Cebu)有15人罹難，震央薄荷島(Bohol island)有16人喪生，西奎裘島(Siquijor Island)有1人死亡；另外還有數十人受傷。

根據美國地質調查所(U.S. Geological Survey)，這起地震於當地時間今天上午8點12分，發生在民答那峨島北方薄荷島的巴里里漢(Balilihan)東方約5公里處，震源深度56公里。

USGS最初偵測這起地震規模為7.4，不久就修正為7.2，最後又下修至7.1。

宿霧位於菲律賓首都馬尼拉東南方約350公里，薄荷島位於馬尼拉東南方約400公里，西奎裘島則是位於薄荷島西南方。
