菲律賓7.2地震 已知四人罹難

菲律賓中部今天清晨發生規模7.2的地震，目前已知，至少有四人罹難，還有不明數目的房屋倒塌和受損。

據報導，震央在薄荷島的卡門鎮，與觀光勝地宿霧相距不遠，震源在距離地表56公里深處，四名罹難者是被倒塌建築壓死。宿霧有一座市場屋頂倒塌，壓傷了19個人。主震過後，又發生多起餘震。

電視播出的畫面顯示，宿霧有一棟兩層樓建築倒塌，兩個被瓦礫活埋的人，幸運獲救，裡面有一個八個月大嬰兒，薄荷島省長說，省政府辦公廳有部份倒塌，還有一間教堂受損。

菲律賓地處太平洋地震帶，地震是家常便飯，宿霧省位在馬尼拉南方，距離馬尼拉五百多公里，人口有兩百六十萬，鄰近的薄荷島有120萬居民，它的沙灘與島嶼風光，每年吸引許多外國觀光客前去。
