高捷每月虧損縮減至2千萬　預計2017損益平衡

【李菁豪／高雄報導】高市交通局對高雄捷運進行一年一度營運檢查，發現高捷1至8月平均日運量達16.4萬人次，較去年同期成長8.8%，尤其7、8月暑期期間平均日運量17.2萬人次，假日運量更達21萬人次，已經接近每日運量約19萬人次即可達到損益平衡的運量目標。

交通局表示，目前高雄捷運虧損已由每月2億元新台幣銳減為2千萬元，預計2017年可達實質的損益兩平，可望在2021年開始回饋市府。

對於高雄捷運年度定期檢查結果，交通局共開出6項改善和25項建議事項，其中對於乘客人身安全和財產保障最直接的建議就是在捷運車廂增設監視器，以預防車內犯罪。
