肯亞紅十字會：死者人數下修至62人

肯亞紅十字會官員今天(23日)表示，首都奈洛比(Nairobi)西門(Westgate)購物中心的恐怖攻擊事件，死亡人數由稍早前公布的69人，下修至62人。官員說，下修的原因是有部份死者「重複計算」。

至於失蹤人數，肯亞紅十字會表示有63人，包括至今仍在購物商場內，遭伊斯蘭激進民兵挾持的民眾，以及在過去3天的商場對峙過程中，可能已遭殺害的民眾。

與國際恐怖蓋達組織(Al Qaeda)掛鉤的索馬利亞激進團體青年黨(al-Shabab)坦承，這起購物中心攻擊是由他們的戰士所為。

肯亞官員表示，安全部隊已控制購物中心的各個樓層，但是激進份子仍挾持人質做頑強抵抗。
