根據全球市場研究機構TrendForce旗下光電事業處WitsView調查，全球前十大液晶監視品牌2013年的出貨預估約為1.2億台，較2012年衰退7.1%。

WitsView指出，三星2013年的出貨表現則由狀元變探花，反觀Dell因受惠於在商務市場的長久耕耘，市場需求相對穩定之下，奪回睽違四年的龍頭寶座。

由於2013年在全球總體經濟復甦腳步緩慢，加上智慧型手機與平板電腦的熱銷，不僅是液晶監視器需求持續萎縮，筆記型電腦市場的換機需求亦遲遲未見到隧道口的光亮。因此，品牌廠商將產品銷售重心轉往大尺寸產品及毛利較佳的利基型產品。

WitsView分析，策略的轉變以三星最為積極，2013年以利潤為優先考量，減少不賺錢的機種出貨，減少小尺寸機種的規劃，積極發展利基型、大尺寸以及公共資訊顯示器，以期提升銷售毛利。然而，利潤與市占兩者則是魚與熊掌難以兩全，附加價值高的產品市場規模必定不如一般標準型產品。
