費城Fed銀行周四公布，費城地區製造業指數於7月觸及逾二年高點後，8月大幅回檔。

費城Fed  8月製造業指數下降至9.3，下降幅度大於預期，7月為19.8。

接受MarketWatch調查的分析師平均預估，8月製造業指數為下降至15.0。

該數據高於0，代表擴張的企業家數多過緊縮的家數。

該報告的細部項目中，8月新訂單指數下降至5.3，7月為10.2。

交貨指數亦走低，且三個月來，首度落入負數。

8月就業指數下降至3.5，7月為7.7。
