【綜合報導】美國大聯盟史上第一位黑人球員羅賓森（Jackie Robinson）豎立在紐約科尼島MCU球場外的雕像，近日被發現遭受破壞，當地警方已展開調查。
 
MCU球場所屬的小聯盟布魯克林氣旋隊（Brooklyn Cyclones，隸屬於紐約大都會隊）公關主任表示，7日球隊準備進入練球時，發現雕像被噴漆塗鴉，球隊馬上報警並進行清理，警方已調閱附近的監視錄影帶。
 
這座雕像上站著羅賓森與「皮威瑞斯」（Harold Peter Henry 的暱稱Pee Wee Reese），兩人同是當時布魯克林道奇隊的隊友，羅賓森的背號42號也在1972年於道奇隊退役。從2004年開始，大聯盟將每年的4月15日定為「羅賓森日」，紀念這位極具代表性的黑人球星。
