Sony於2013年9月在柏林IFA上發表可應用於智慧型手機的外接式鏡頭相機QX10/QX100後，其新穎的使用方式就掀起市場廣泛討論，而Sony在今年(2014年)IFA推出的外接式鏡頭相機新一波產品QX1、QX30，獲得消費者更熱烈的迴響，訂單遠超預期、供不應求。

日本AV Watch網站14日指出，Sony透過官網宣佈，於10月1日開放預購的ILCE-QX1及9月10日開放預購的DSC-QX30因接獲的訂單大幅高於預期，造成生產趕不上需求，故消費者需等上一段時間才能拿到商品。QX1/QX30皆在10月10日正式開賣。

QX1/QX30皆可透過Wi-Fi和智慧手機連接，其中QX1為鏡頭可更換式產品(見附圖)，搭載有效畫素2,010萬的Exmor CMOS感測器；QX30搭載Sony 30倍光學變焦G-Lens及有效畫素2,040萬的1/3.2吋Exmor CMOS、並支援光學防手振。
